How Can severe Chest Pain Along With Asthma Be Treated?

Hi, I am 40 year old female who is morbidly obese and has high blood pressure and asthma. Lately, my heart rate has been around 120 and fluctuating to lower levels such as 114 to 98. Sometimes it is accompanied by fluttering and slight chest pain. Is this a cause for concern and time for me to see a doctor? Tam

Hi,

The management of asthma is multifactorial as:
- Avoidance of the allergen.
- Control of existing infection.
- Maintenance of blood sugar, cholesterol, body weight.
- Cessation of smoking (active as well as passive).
- Analgesics of consultant choice.
- Supportive bronchi dilator, decongestant therapy.
- X-ray and pulmonary function test as per the progress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
